GCE prepared updates to the STIMP and SPCC Plans. The purpose of the STIMP (to include closure procedures) was to ensure policies and procedures are in place to manage all fuel and other regulated tanks at MCLB Barstow, California in compliance with all applicable regulations. GCE evaluated the current storage tank inventory, aboveground and underground operations, maintenance, and management at both Nebo and Yermo Annex locations. There were approximately 36 storage tanks of different types in use across both facilities. GCE physically inspected each storage tank to determine whether the information on file with the Installation & Logistics Asset Management Branch and the Environmental Division, is current and accurate to the actual tank located in the field. The STIMP and SPCC Plan complied with all applicable policies and laws.
