For this task order, GCE prepared four Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) for UST 1, UST 4, UST 6, and Site 28. The CAPs were comprehensive plans that described how the UST Sites will be cleaned up and justified why the remedial method has been chosen.

GCE prepared four Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) for UST 1, UST 4, UST 6, and Site 28. The CAPs were comprehensive plans that described how the UST Sites will be cleaned up and justified why the remedial method has been chosen. Also, during the characterization of the UST sites, pentachlorophenol was found during sampling at concentrations slightly below or slightly above the action levels. This chemical had not been previously investigated at NAS Fallon. Based on the results of the characterization reports, the Navy agreed to further study this chemical as part of creating the Corrective Action Plans for the UST sites. GCE researched pentachlorophenol and its use at NAS Fallon to determine if it was associated with the history and use of the UST sites. Recommendations were included in each of the Corrective Action Plans prepared.
