GCE was the Civil Engineering design lead for the development of civil design plans and specifications for the construction of a 47,000 square foot complex consisting of an aircraft storage hangar, a maintenance hangar, and an administration/operations building located on 8.5 acres. GCE prepared all site plans, grading plans, demolition plans, and utility plans. Site improvements included the design of a 55,000-gallon fire water storage tank, all new covered parking areas, security fencing, lighting, landscaping, and an offsite access road with a new dedicated turn lane. Plans met strict Unified Facilities Criteria for onsite and offsite improvements. During construction, GCE provided construction management services including inspections, site safety, and review of pay applications on behalf of the owner.
