GCE was the Designer of Record for the development of civil design plans and specifications for a new 3,600 linear feet of hot mix asphalt parallel taxiway, the rehabilitation of a portland cement concrete runup area, and multiple new retentions basins. GCE prepared a topographic survey for use as the basis for design, as well as a drainage study that led to the design of three new retention basins and the restoration of one existing basin. The final design was laid out in three phases, addressing the need to maintain traffic circulation of both the general aviation community and military aircraft. GCE provided bid support and post-construction award services including construction management, coordination of construction staking activities, answering requests for information, recording daily activities, and attending weekly meetings to ensure construction met all specifications.
